At the young age of 14, she received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting along with her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law at the young age of 22.
Besides being a top-notch anchor and journalist, Colby is an attorney and served in private practice for 10 years. She is an attorney admitted to practice in New York, California, the District of Columbia and Florida. Colby has also worked as a law professor, a member of Law Review and has been a National Board member of American Women in Radio and Television for the last several years.
